Crab Miso Soup
Enjoy the rich flavor of crab in this miso soup. It is good for the season of crabs.
Ingredients (4 servings)
Crab | 200 g (legs and/or claws) |
---|---|
Mitsuba (Japanese honeywort) | 1/2 bunch |
Dashi stock | 800 cc |
Miso | 3-1/2 tablespoons |
Directions
- Cut the crab legs and/or claws into proper sizes. Separate the mitsuba leaves from the stalks and cut the stalks to 3 ~ 4-cm length.
- Boil the crab in the dashi stock.
- After the crab is cooked, lower the heat and dissolve the miso. Serve the miso soup in bowls with the mitsuba on top.

You can try different kinds of crabs, such as red king crab, horsehair crab and snow crab, to enjoy different tastes.
