Yellowtail and Grilled Japanese Leek Miso Soup

Grilling Japanese leek (naga-negi) makes it sweeter. Enjoy sweet naga-negi and savory yellowtail in this miso soup.
Ingredients (4 servings)
Yellowtail | 200 g |
---|---|
Naga-negi | 1/2 |
Ginger | 15 g |
Dashi stock | 800 cc |
Miso | 3-1/2 tablespoons |
Directions
- Cut the yellowtail into chunks and shred the ginger thinly. Cut the naga-negi to 4-cm length and grill.
- Boil the yellowtail in the dashi stock. After the yellowtail is cooked, add the naga-negi.
- Lower the heat and dissolve the miso. Serve the miso soup in bowls with the shredded ginger on top.
★ A Note
The flavor of shredded ginger on top gives a kick to the taste of the miso soup.
