Sarasa-jiru

Sarasa-jiru a light-taste miso soup using tubular fish cake (chikuwa) and white miso.
Ingredients (4 servings)
Chikuwa | 2 (30 g) |
---|---|
Tofu | 1/3 cake |
Shungiku (Garland chrysanthemum) |
2 stalks |
Dashi stock | 800 cc |
Miso | 3-1/2 tablespoons |
Directions
- Cut the chikuwa into 1-cm rings and the tofu into 1-cm cubes. Cut the shungiku to 3-cm length.
- Bring the dashi stock to a boil, add the ingredients and boil for a short time.
- Lower the heat and dissolve the miso. Serve the miso soup in bowls.

Sarasa-jiru is one the special dishes for the Okunchi festival in Nagasaki.
