Green Snow Pea and Flat Fish Cake Miso Soup
In pleasant spring, enjoy this miso soup of white flat fish cake (hanpen) and vivid green snow peas (kinusaya).
Ingredients (4 servings)
Kinusaya | 8 pods |
---|---|
Hanpen | 1 piece |
Dried wakame seaweed | 2 g |
Dashi stock | 800 cc |
Miso | 3-1/2 tablespoons |
Directions
- String the kinusaya and cut diagonally to 1-cm width. Cut the hanpen into 2-cm squares. Rehydrate the dried wakame seaweed in water and drain.
- Bring the dashi stock to a boil, add the kinusaya abd hanpen and boil for a moment. Lower the heat and dissolve the miso.
- Add the wakame and boil for a moment. Serve the miso soup in bowls.
★ A Note
To enjoy the crispy texture of kinusaya, avoid boiling it too much.
